Christmas in Cleveland was fabulous. We went to the Children's Mass on Christmas Eve, it was a lovely service and the girls were angels. We were up rather late waiting for the girls to fall asleep so that Santa could come. I had to remind myself how excited I used to get on Christmas Eve and how difficult it was to fall asleep.
Christmas morning was great. The girls loved opening presents and were so excited with every gift they recieved. All the babies, and toys were a huge hit! Ruthie got a Cinderella costume and Lulu received a Tinkerbell costume. Ruthie would not wear her Christmas dress to Grandpa's and instead opted for the Cinderella outfit!
After Grandpa's we headed back to Gammy's for a gift exchange with Aunts and Uncles and then naps.
Ruthie napping with several of the Christmas gift on her bed, even the umbrella!
Christmas night was the ususal, Game night and dinner with my mom and her dear friends. This year was super special as it was a year that EVERYONE was there! My mom's 2 best friends and their families are more like family to us and we have soo enjoyed our holiday tradition. Although, this year we only made it to the dice game for cash and had to leave before Charades. I guess the party raged on till the wee hours of the morning.
Mom, Mary and Rosemarie
(Too funny that they all dressed up in black pants, black top and then red shirt over it - Not planned) They are best friends.
The entire gang! Trivia for you. Name everyone in the picture. And the winning answer cannot be from someone that is in the picture.
For the longtime blog readers..... This is the same group of "kids" that took the pyramid picture at the wedding in the summer. For some reason we took a much more civilized picture. Maybe it had something to do with consumption levels.
The next day I fought a major ice storm and drove to Detroit to pick up our houseguests. Nothing says Awesome like White knucles and a 7 hour drive on ICE!
