This is a story about poop.
Rather the wierd pooping habits of a one Miss Ruth Catherine.
She has been in big girl pants for about 3 weeks with no accidents. The poop party and the trip to Chuck E. Cheese I am sure had alot to do with it.
She has developed a wierd habit that I am not quite sure how to curb.
When she has pooped on the potty she insists on taking a picture of it. I mean, she comes running and screaming from the bathroom "mom, get the camera" She then proceeds to insist on taking a picture of her poop (then of course checking on the screen to make sure she can see it) quickly followed by posing next to the potty and insisting that I take a picture of her with her poop, (this too is quickly followed by a verification on the camera screen that the picture is acceptable, yes we have had to do re-takes). The whole routine is then followed by a flush and a one miss Ruth Catherine screaming into the toilet bowl "SEE YOU LATER POOP!"
Now I know this may seem hard to believe but yesterday while we were not near the camera to stop the massive meltdown that started because the camera was not near I took a picture on my cell phone and then proceeded to insist on flusing and since the phone is not really a camera so Ruthie says, she wanted me to save the poop until we got the camera at a later time.
So there you have it, we now have an entire collection of Ruth Catherine original's. I am sure that her children will love these pics as I am certainly going to make an album. Otherwise nobody would ever believe me.

Updates
Well, alot has happened since our last post.
1. We spent many hours working with the insurance company and the disaster team on their many bills and estimates. It appears that as soon as someone hears the words..." this is covered under insurance" everyone starts padding their bills to stake a claim at our miniscule insurance payout. Seriously the disaster team claimed in their estimate that there were 12 fans in our basement at $155 a day. And let's be honest, even Ruthie and Lulu can count to 12 but there was really only 8! COME ON PEOPLE!!!! That wasn't the only thing that they totally tried to hose us on.
2. The insurance company has finally closed the claim on our basement and we can hopefully get a check in the near future. Good thing since we already have workmen trying to put the pieces back together again.
3. The basement is under construction. We have a great little workman that is fixing all the drywall and baseboards and such.....Let's hope that number 2 is really for sure because I am sure he would not be really nice when we tell him we can't pay him.
4. All the toys and stuff that was in the basement is now all over the house. Causing everyone to be extremely uncentered in their beings.
5. Still don't have a working computer so I have to use Simon's at night. I all but tackle him when he gets in the door for his computer. I feel like it is not bad enough that I am stuck watching the Sprout channel all day (Seriously, I can't even watch the news these days without causing the girls to get nightmares) so a computer is our connection to the outside world.
6. We still haven't been able to get any of our thousands of pictures off the computer or have been able to obviously download any new ones that have been taken. I know everyone is really bummed about not seeing updated pictures but you'll just have to wait.
ON A MUCH BRIGHTER NOTE - - POSITIVE STUFF
1. Ruthie has been in big girl pants for 6 days. And while alot of you may not understand this as being huge it is not only huge it is TOTALLY HUGE! She has been on strike with pooping on the potty and we had a huge breakthrough last week. With the breakthrough came a wonderful big girl panty party! Way more politically correct than "The Poopy Party". She picked out a beautiful princess dress and princess slippers and there were balloons, pizza, and cake as well as a whole clothesline of panties strewn through the dining room.
2. My roommate from college Meredith came to visit for the night with her boys and was in attendance for the "Panty Party" We kept telling her 5 year old son that when he is 18 he would be dying to go to a panty party. We had a great time and it always wonderful to spend time with her.
3. Our dear family friends Bridget and Jennifer came for the weekend to visit. The girls had so much fun playing with them. We played playdoh and blocks and dance parties and all the wonderful musical instruments that we got for Christmas. Bridget is also a fabulous decorator and she picked out paint color for our basement along with new carpet. We all went to dinner on Saturday night (while the girls were with a babysitter) and then Simon went home and we went to see 27 dresses. I haven't been to a movie in a movie theater in over 2 years! Gosh, I forgot what that was like. I figure that if I have to pay a babysitter I would rather have someone cook me a meal and wait on me rather than go to a movie when I can sit in my pajamas and do that at home.
4. We went to Chuck E. Cheese tonight as Ruthie continues to amaze us on the potty and she really wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese because isn't that what all big girls do so, Simon came home early from work and we all headed out to Chuck E. Cheese. We had a great time. Bad Luck
Yesterday we had the pleasure of having our sump pump break and having back up of water in our basement. Just an inch or 2 in some places. Luckily, our neighbor is Mr. Johnny on the spot and helped us out of the situtation by taking out the broken one, going to the store and buying a new one and putting it in. By the time he had the new one working the ""Disaster team" was here assessing the situtation and putting together an action plan.
We had about 400 square feet of finished area that was ruined. Carpet pulled out baseboards removed, toys wet. A whole wall of bookshelves that happily soaked up the water and are drying. Then the unfinished part whish is about 1000 ssquare feet was under water but this is the time when you are glad that your husband had a clean out over New Years and did some organizing and not alot was sitting on the floor.
It was kinda a bummer when I had to go through boxes of stuff from the girls when they were babies and salvage stuff. Of course, I ran to Target and bought tons of rubbermaid stuff which we already had most of everything in. I know I guess I wasn't paying attention when I put the most important things (Great Aunt's handpainted bone China, Girls baby stuff, Simon and my memory box) in brown boxes. But I guess we just move on from there.
So, as I type this we have about 8 Indsutrial turbo fans in our basement running trying to dry everything out. Kinda sounds like you are behind a jet on a runway. 2 huge dehumidifiers soaking water up and tons of stuff relocated throughout our house. Which of course is freaking Simon out because he finds calm in everything in it's place.
Oh, and did I forget to mention that we woke up this morning with the furnace broken? Maybe it had something to do with the water? Nobody even our "disaster" contact guy noticed. Well, yesterday was not a normal day as in the fact that doors were open, windows were open, everyone was just damp and it was raining so it easily could have been overlooked. (The disaster team is quite funny. Full with Knee High boots, tubes snaking all through our house. If they only had the masks on I would think I was conveniently located in the middle of the ET movie. So a quick call to some people and hopefully we will have the furnace up and running since it is getting to be pretty cold in our house even with the gas fireplace running. Seriously, our house is only 5 years old. This should not be happening.
And last but certainly not least... Our computer officially died. We haven't had the time to bury it in the backyard as hopefully our neighbor again, Mr. Johnny on the spot can retrieve the thousands of pictures off of it before we officially say our goodbyes. This actually has been a slow and painful death for all of us as it started back in Novmeber and we have been rigging it to get just a little bit more life out of it. So, therefore no pics at the moment of all the fun that is happening at our house. Hopefully I have painted a pretty enough picture.
So, updates to come but for now we are just rolling with the punches with laughter, dance parties and hot fudge sundaes during family night out last night.

Black Nail Polish
Ruthie woke up from a nap hysterical and it went something like this....
"My nail polish is chipped" (Ruthie)
"Well, we will just paint your nails again" (Molly)
"But my nail polish is at Gammy's" (Ruthie)
This conversation occurred all through Ruthie's sobs. Needless to say, we went to the mall to buy her new nail polish. I don't know where this obsession has come from since I don't have nails at all let alone polished ones.
While in the store I pick out the usual OPI nail polish and Ruthie asks if she can pick out a new color. She comes back with a dark purple that just isn't that pretty on a 2 year old's nails. So I try to tell her no and she says fine and she goes to put it back, with that she brings back a BLACK nail polish. The woman behind the counter is totally laughing at me at this point. I bribe her with a lipstick (chapstick) and tell her that only REALLY old people like Great Grammy Ruthie can wear black nail polish. (It has to be something totally unattainable)
I seem to bypass the meltdown with the bribery lipstick and she is so proud to walk out of the store with her bag and immediately applies her new lipstick. We get in the car and we pull away from the mall and all I hear from the back seat as she is rifling through the bag is.....
"Where did my black nail polish go?"

Art Projects
So, we have this day room off the kitchen that has been turned into a toy room. It is a great room. Nice and bright, the girls can play in there while I cook and I can keep an eye on them. The idea is that their toys on the first floor will be in there and not take over the the other rooms but that is not always the case. We have been trying to figure out what to put on the wall in there for a while. Simon feels strongly that all artwork in our house should have a story. Great idea but you can only have so many heirloom picutres and apparently, "I went to the store and liked this picture" isn't a story that is a approved. Our friend Bridget (who is totally crafty and used to be our interior decorator when we lived in Columbus) gave us the idea of having the girls paint canvases and then hang them in the the room.
We finally took the time to go to the store with the girls and let them pick out some colors of paint. Ruthie picked pink and Lulu picked purple (shocker I know) and I picked an avacado green since the walls are a slate/green/blue color with white trim. We let them paint one color at a time. Lulu's pictures were exactly what we had envisioned for the room. And Ruthie being completely type A began to freak out at any white space. So, she turned her 2 canvases into solid colors. Simon's idea was to put their andprints and ours on her sli canvas to give it a little something more than just solid pink or purple. It was such a great family activity and I know the girls really enjoyed themselves and now we have a cool story to tell about the artwork on our walls.

Team Bisson Christmas Pajamas
Oh yes, as if all the craziness of Team Bisson and the Christmas cards and address labels wasn't excitement enough, I may have forgot to mention that we also have to have Team Bisson Christmas pajamas every year. The girls have matching and Simon and I have matching. I know totally hot right?!
* Lulu spent most of the vacation sick. Hence the Paci in every picture. When you don't feel well and you are not in your own home, you need to do whatever it takes to make you happy. We really are going to take 2008 to be the year of no Paci. A big thank you to Lulu who infected all of us with her sickness and now we are all miserable.
Also, thought I would highlight some of the best parts of our Christmas vacation.
* The girls had a great time with their Gammy. We had a great time with Gammy taking great care of the girls.
* Seeing Katie & Tim and Marty & Elizabeth is always great. I just wish we lived closer or got to see them more often but when we do get to see eachother it is like no time went by at all. Also, seeing Katie's impression of the dance from Little Miss Sunshine on Christmas night was certainly a big highlight. A couple of years ago she did this leg jump and landed flat on her face and usually she brings out the Rockette High kicks but we made it out of this year's charade night with only the Little Miss Sunshine dance. Lucky us!
* Great to see Grandpa, Mary Jo, Regan and Kevin. Uncle Kevin who is 12 spent alot of time on the computer with Ruthie as she is obsessed with playing computer games. She really has taken the computer world by storm at the ripe old age of 2. Aunt Regan just found out a week before Christmas that she got into Georgetown early action so that made her Christmas.
* Hanging out with great friends for the night while my mom babysat was super awesome. Too bad I paid for it for the whole next day, but I never really get to do that so when you get the chance you have to live it up.
* We had a very loud Christmas. All the presents seem to make noise and loud music. Thank goodness for off buttons. Although, Barney doesn't have an off button. Lulu loves that he sings the I Love you song. Barney rocks!
* Ruthie and Lulu got lots of Baby dolls. Thank goodness as that was the only thing that Ruthie said she wanted everytime she went to see Santa.
* Lulu's godmother Bridget got the girls a 5 piece music set. It has a harmonica, a flute, a tamborine, a keyboard with a microphone and a 6 piece drum set. OH MY GOODNESS! We are so excited. This was such a generous gift and the girls are completely in love with it. I could not be happier since they love to rock it out with their dance parties. Bridget is way to good to the girls. I know that people may think that we have lost our mind but it is not like they will be playing it while I am trying to sleep (sleep what is that?) As long as we are up the noise level in our house it out of control regardless!

Christmas 2007
We had an amazing time in Cleveland. It was so great to see family and friends. Brief Rundown of events.
Friday: Went shopping at Nordie's and Whole Foods (Again, I have to always hit my favorite spots while in a big city) Also took Grammy Ruthie out to dinner. Pretty cool to have 4 generations of Women at the table. Grammy Ruthie, Gammy (Molly's Mom), Molly, and then the girls.
Saturday: More shopping, hung out with Grandpa (Molly's Dad) and just took it easy
Sunday: Met Kristen for Brunch, more shopping, and then went to the Cavs game and out partying with Nicole and Trav.
Monday: Seriously paid for the night of partying for most of the day. Then went to the Children's Mass at the Church at my gradeschool. Ordered in dinner and relaxed while waiting for Santa to arrive.
Tuesday: Went to Grandpa's in the morning after opening presents at Gammy's. Hung out at Gammy's for the day waiting for the festivites to begin at Gammy's house. Uncle Marty and Elizabeth and Katie and Tim all spoiled the girls beyond belief and then we were honored with the the DeJohn Family and the Hall family for dinner and family game night. Family game night is a long standing tradition. Where we literally play charades for hours. This year we added a new element with a cool left, right and center dice game!
Wednesday: More shopping and lunch with just Team Bisson. Shopping with Katie and Gammy in the afternoon and dinner and drinks with the McGann side of the family.
Thursday: WE were ready to go home and relax.
There was seriously not a moment of down time in the entire trip. But we really had a fabulous time and would not miss Cleveland for anything.

Rock and Roll Dance Party
Simon was actually the one to come up with this Family Party. I think it was on a Snowy Sunday last year when we were stuck inside and we needed to tire Ruthie out. What else do you do when there is nothing to do? DANCE PARTY. (Remember we met as counselors at Summer Camp. )
Needless to say, we have a dance party just about every day at our house. It is something we have started to have to ration as who can really dance all day every day? We have a bad 80's CD and the girls love to dance to: Ice Ice Baby, Jesse's Girl, What I like about you, Tainted Love, etc. I think it is cool that they both know the words to these classics. Since we have been taking music class they have added a new element to the dance parties with their Wiggles guitars and makeshift drums. I have asked for real drums for the girls for Christmas and everyone thinks I am totally crazy. I say BRING IT ON!
We are headed to Cleveland tomorrow for the Holiday's and we are so excited. The girls can't wait to see their Gammy and their Grandpa. Also, I am looking forward to seeing family and friends and sleeping in and not changing diapers.

More Snow
