Additional picture for the big girl

We like to decorate, make signs, all sorts of stuff. Just noticed this picture and forgot to post it.

Who doesn't hang panties all over their house to mark the occasion.

****These were all brand new panties, never worn.

The Dude Takes it to the Throne

It is with great pleasure I announce a HUGE accomplishment for the Dude (aka Lulu). We have been discussing potty training, she has had literally no interest. I couldn't even get her to sit on the potty. She has had serious doubts ever since the catheter episode.

So when she woke up the other day and said.... "Today I am wearing panties and I am going to go on the potty" In true Dude fashion that is how it went down. And no looking back. Everytime she had to go she just walked into the bathroom and went. I even caught her going into the bathroom and she said "now, I have to poop". Well alrighty then. No issues there.

As part of the potty excitement from months ago we got her a new doll set with a stroller, a crib, and a carrier/swing. So, she claimed one of her prizes yesterday and got a new one today.

And she got to pick where she wanted to go for dinner. Her choice Red Robin. Yay!!!!!

love anywhere that gives balloons. Also Lulu wanted to wear a party dress.

Celebratory hot fudge sundae for all of Team Bisson to share

I am sooo proud of her and can't believe that all my babies are no longer babies!

Favorite Outdoor Activity

With the warm weather comes one of the girls favorite outdoor activities..... Our own mini-"Safety town". The girls are too funny, they love to drive their little cars all over the driveway on roads and go to stores, and other places they have requested for the day. - My favorite thing is when it doesn't rain and we can reuse yesterday's city.

Today's requests consisted of:

Their Houses

McDonald's

The Y - we go there almost every day.

Ruthie's request - a place to get her nails and hair done.

Target

Gas Station

Of course we have 2 cars but Lulu wanted to walk today around town since it was so nice, she took her baby for a walk.

Trip to the Dentist

Lulu went to the dentist for the first time today! She was SOOOOOOOOOOO awesome. Totally brave and even let them scrape some buildup off her teeth. I couldn't have been more proud of her.

Ruthie sat in the chair and watched and nearly had a nervous breakdown. She wouldn't even sit in the chair unless Lulu sat with her. Can't wait for her appointment in a couple of weeks.

View from our front yard

They are doing some street repairs and who could resist when they literally left these huge machines right out in the open...... Not us!!!!

Good thing Ruthie said, "Don't worry Dad, just keep an eye out for the police then I will jump off and hide, and you can too if you want!" Great, we are for sure in trouble in a few years!

A Day on Campus at Daddy's Work

We started out the day going to Simon's work. They have a chapel service at 10 with any of the students that want to attend. We have talked about taking a week off a month from our church and going to their services. There is just something totally awesome about services in the chapel with the boys singing and the energy. I always get choked up, and today was no exception.

We brought the girls bikes so that we could enjoy the wonderful campus on a nice long walk.

The campus is absolutely beautiful and so magnificent. I feel as if I get a deeper (if at all possible) appreciation for all that they do for their students everytime I am on campus. I am so proud of Simon and everyone who put their whole heart and soul into such an awesome organization.

I started taking pictures of the girls and all the glorious views of the day. I really hope we can hold strong on our commitment of spending more of our free time on campus really soaking in all that it has to offer.

The girls playing in Simon's office making him work for them.

Soccer

This week was our first soccer game. The girls were so very excited. They put on their uniforms the minute they woke up!

Ruthie thoroughly enjoyed it and scored a goal! Lulu is still trying to figure the whole thing out. Stay tuned!

Welcome Home Daddy and Quitters.......

Simon was out of town for a whole week. We were lucky enough to have my bff Kelly from Cleveland visit with her 2 kids for 3 days. So wonderful to put the kids to bed, get our pajamas on and just talk the night away.

Sidenote: I don't know if Kelly's husband Justin can officially take credit for the term "quitter".

Definition of a "quitter" - mom that lives in sweatpants, may or may not shower regularly, has given up on makeup and certainly most, to all grooming practices. And generally has lost all ambition. Many times I find myself calling Kelly and just declaring...."Today I am a qiutter" or "I have been a quitter for several days now."
By all accounts last week with Kelly may as well have been called a "Quitter Convention" because that is exactly what was on order! Loved every minute of it!
Back to the topic of the Post.

The girls love to do special things for daddy when he arrives home from a long trip. Who doesn't love coming home to a huge sign, and their favorite brownies?

Way To Go Abby

My good friend and trainer Abby was in a figure competition in Grand Rapids yesterday. She did totally awesome and took 4th place. My other friend Kris and I drove up to see her and cheer her on at the competition.

Abby is amazing, she has not given up on me when I feel like at times, I have given up on myself. She is motivating, determined, and extremely focused. She is a true inspiration.

What an experience. I was so fascinated by this competition. At first the curtain opens and there are literally 90 body builders/figure competitors on stage and 1 by 1 they all come up front and center and pose. Then they break them down by classes and they come back out strut their stuff and then they announce the places. We did not have fabulous seats, being new to this whole thing we realized we need to pay for the premier seats to get a great view of the muscles.

Definitely something I never thought I would do in my life, and what a true experience. All crazy fat jokes (and listen there were plenty between Kris and I, about ourselves and no one else). Let's just say, I asked Simon before we went if people might think I was in the competition and he laughed so hard. I think that we were off to a bad start when we stopped at the gas station for combo's, corn chips, and pop, to eat on the way up. Oh well like I said, Abby has not given up on me, when sometimes I have given up myself.

Mani-Pedi Recession Style

The girls love Mani-pedi's. Well, Ruthie loves to go get them at the nail salon. Who doesn't? With 3 of us all fighting for a good mani-pedi....Looks like I am going to have to get pretty good at doing them at home.
