Ruthie the FairyWe had a glorious Halloween. It was a beautiful 75* day and we enjoyed every minute of the day. We had 4 families over for dinner before the trick or treating and then walked our neighborhood. We barely made it to more than 20 houses. On the 2nd or 3rd house Lulu quit. She just wanted me to pull her around and she refused to go to any houses.

Lulu was like the neighborhood celebrity. Everyone LOVED the banana and she doesn't like when "the people" wanted to look at her and touch her so she retreated to the wagon. Our neighbor Cheryl got her to go to one of our other neighbors house but that was about it!

Ruthie loved every single minute of the night and no one could keep up with her! She just ran from house to house and kept asking if she could eat her candy as soon as she got it!

Great start to a long weekend.

i too love the banana. but totally understand not wanting to be in the spot light. how fun! ben and i were anti-halloween and handed out just a little candy before going out for the night.
omg, i didn't even THINK about buying candy for trick-or-treaters ... just realized -- we're lucky we didn't have any unexpected visitors. they would have had to choose between packets of instant oatmeal or microwave popcorn.
i LOVE that lulu was a certified organic banana. cutest thing ever.

we had ONE t+treater this year. one. ONE. one. and a certain someone had made a big ole deal about having candy, just in case. so now we're stuck with an almost full sack of reese's cups and way too many kit kats. needless to say, these are two of this certain someone's favorite candies.
i adore their costumes! i too, forgot to buy candy, and i was prepared to hand out my company's band-aids or baby wipes in case any little ones stopped by. good thing my apartment complex had a little party, i think the kids got plenty of candy there.
How did I miss this post? I think the banana costume is the cutest one I've seen this year!
That does sound like the perfect night! I must admit I would have wanted to be on the guys' end of that deal...:) What better way to spend the halloween?
